Somatic Art for Wellbeing

If you want a centered self and the cultivation of mindfulness, a somatic approach improves well-being. Somatic means mind-body connection. An art practice integrates the heart and emotions through allowing yourself to experience your feelings.
This is a practice of whole-self integration of mind, body, heart and emotions. Through a curated approach of movement and art, we reinforce wellbeing.
This meetup group is a community of those who want to practice somatic art.
The methods we use include:
*Gentle qi gong movements, also called mindful movement or moving meditation
*Breathwork to tap into the somatic awareness of where tension lives in the body and releasing it
*Various art exercises including my signature Higher Self Art method
You’ll leave each session with-
*a calmer nervous system
*An increase in energy
*A deeper mind-body connection
*More openness to your intuitive, creative side through art
No art experience is necessary. Art is the process of learning to be present without judgment.
A maximum of 8 participants is permitted in each session.
Cost: $45
*We practice in person at my home studio in South Gilbert (Address disclosed upon registration on website here.)
*Sessions are held weekly on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-7:30pm.
There will be some weeks when the Meetup is not held. Those will be reflected on the calendar when you register for a session.
In 2026 we will not meet onTuesday, March 17th, April 21st, May 26th, all but the last week of June, the last 3 weeks of August, and Sept. 22nd. I may change these dates as the year goes on, so please check the calendar.
