Join us for a relaxed, 6 or 7-mile (10 / 11.5km) urban hike connecting two of London's most iconic craft and contemporary hubs. We’ll start amidst the crafts/antiques of **Camden Market** and wind our way through the heart of the city to the vibrant shops/**markets at Battersea Power Plant**. This is a **leisurely walk** designed for socialising and sight-seeing, not a race! We’ll be moving at a comfortable pace with plenty of opportunities for photos, if needed. Besides is nice to stay active in moderation and I personally needed a walk at weekend! A Malaysian (or non-Malaysian) lunch or even grab a sandwich in and around the park. A relaxed Sunday morning -coffee, flowers, and an easy walk. We’ll meet at 10:30 outside Old Street Station (main exit), start with a coffee nearby, then wander over to Columbia Road flower market. The topic for May is "Ink" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect.
