Nightjar and Glow worm Hunt (after pub evening)

As dusk draws in we shall hunt out the unnatural sounds of the nightjar and the elusive green light of glow worms (not a worm at all but a beetle).

Our annual hunt for nightjars and glow worms is preceded this year at the Cottage Inn, Upper Bucklebury, which is less than a mile from the starting point. You can have a meal there, or you may like to just come for a drink. I’m suggesting 7.45 for meeting at the pub and then as dusk draws at 9.45 we take our cars to the parking area just off the main road between the pub and Chapel Row. You may wish to take a torch for when it truly gets dark.

For the event to take place we do need to have numbers as soon as possible. Although the latest time for the RSVP is Thursday we would appreciate it if you would express an interest in joining us by tomorrow.

Those who aren't FULL MEMBERS OF THE CLUB (filled in a form and paid the annual fee), or members of another IVC, will be asked to make a small contribution to the running of the group (e.g. £2).
