Whether or not you came on the walk first you are welcome to join us for a meal outside at the Highwayman. The pub has an excellent varied menu, ranging from nibbles to a full 3-course meal, or just have a drink if you prefer. It's a secluded country pub, with tables outside on a terrace looking across the valley, so we should be able to fully enjoy the warm summer evening.

Please book here for the meal, and on the "Evening walk from near the Highwayman, Checkendon" page if you want to come on the walk first.

Those who aren't full members of the club (filled in a form and paid the annual fee) will be asked to make a small contribution to the running of the group (e.g. £2), but that will cover both the walk and the meal.

Directions from Reading:
Head out of Reading on the A4074 towards Woodcote. Go though Cane End, past a road on your left to Goring (B4526), then after just over ½ mile turn right along the minor road signed to The Highwayman. Follow it down to the pub, on your left.
