Walk and Talk with Pets! (Hangout #16)

Details

Hi, baby turtles!

We tried to do this event earlier this year, but I was a dumb-dumb and didn't consider that it would be too hot for the pets and/or humans for anyone to enjoy it, so I apologize for my impulsivity.

There's no way it could be too hot in Maryland in December, right? Right. Riiiiight...

Anyway, it will definitely be chilly that day, but I'm sure that, given enough time to prepare, one can adequately equip oneself and/or their pet(s) with sufficient weather gear such as mini sweaters.

You do not have to own a pet to participate in this event! EVERYONE is welcome! Pets enrich our lives and cheer us up! The goal of this event is to provide each other with the beneficial/therapeutic exposure of cute animals!

PLEASE NOTE: If your pet is aggressive, YOU CANNOT BRING THEM TO THIS EVENT! For example, I have two cats and will NOT be bringing Percy since he is a jerk (but I love him anyway lol). Also, by participating in this event, you are consenting to being exposed to various animals. By attending this event, you are agreeing that this group, myself, and my leadership team are not legally responsible for any negative consequences resulting from this or any future events/circumstances.

ALL PETS are welcome! (I would LOVE to see a fish in a bowl in a wagon tbh!) If your pet is in a cage and you are planning to aid in their mobility, please ensure that said mobility device is secure, and non-obstructive when mobile on a public trail, and that the pet itself is secure (safe from predatory birds and unable to escape and run off).

We will be walking and talking along the Crescent Trail, starting at the Bethesda, MD point and walking until, well, we get too tired or the two hours are up. We will all meet-up for the walk outside the Pottery Barn in downtown Bethesda, MD! I will personally wait 10 minutes after 2pm outside the Pottery Barn for any people that might be running late, but showing up on-time or even early are HIGHLY encouraged! After that, if you arrive late, please message me via this platform or comment to inform us where you are on the trail and/or how late you will be.

Feel free to grab a snack in Downtown Bethesda beforehand!

Looking forward to it,

Hannah
