What we’re about
Hey! My name is Hannah, and I have lived in the Maryland/D.C. area basically my whole life. I have a few friends from college, but very few of them live in the area. I need to "get out there" and make more friends in general. The goal of this group is to make new, strong, lasting friendships with people in the area! I am hoping to meet people with all or some of the interests highlighted in the description. We will have a mixture of in-person and virtual events. I am personally a home body, and I work for a non-profit, so I don't have a lot of money to go out and do things, but I still want to meet all kinds of people and enrich my life. Therefore, most of the events will be virtual, but it's not like we won't ever get to meet each other in person ;). Making friends as an adult is HARD, and I wanted to make it easier for others.
Unfortunately, I work for a non-profit and my parents are paying for my school and have helped me out with rent more times than I can count, and there were fees associated with creating this organizer account and the Zoom account, plus other organization fees, so donations would really help me out, but they are not required!
Remember: if you are new to the area/moving to a different area in the DMV PLEASE let me know and we will all get together and help you move-in (We'll make it an official event with snacks and stuff hehe)!
