Open Book Club Session on Zoom - One Person, No Vote by Carol Anderson

Details
Hi All!
I hope that you're all hanging in there as we move forward through this pandemic.
In the recent past, at our book swaps, we've exchanged a lot of fiction-type books. Lately, I've seen growing interest in the Black Lives Matter movement and recommendations and reading of books such as Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates, Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson and White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo.
In light of current events and the election coming up in a few months, this month, and pursuant to another book club meeting that I recently attended, I suggest that we read: One Person, No Vote by Carol Anderson. It's an insightful book about voter suppression in the United States.
You are welcome to share any articles, podcasts, YouTube links or other content that you find insightful on the topic of voting rights in the United States. I'll post a few over the next few weeks.
You're welcome to join the discussion even if you don't finish the book.
Feel free to reach out to me with any questions, comments or book/content recommendation requests that you might have.
I will provide you with the Zoom link as we get closer to the meeting date.
All the best,
Jessica
