The 1st August will mark 20 years since i moved to Birmingham and so this month's day walk will be a route i created during lockdown - The Midlands 3 peaks. There is also the option for joining me for food and drinks in the garden when we finish!

The Midlands 3 peaks is a 21.8 mile route from my home which includes a country park, some of the Monarchs way, various woods, 3 local hills, a nature reserve, the Illey way and lots of open countryside - and 800m total ascent.

The route itself consists of approx 7 1/2 hours of walking + food breaks + possible pub stop.

There are some country pubs along the way - including in the village of Clent - and there are cafes at Clent Hill and Waseley hill (along with toilets!).

Although there are places to buy food and drinks along the way, I recommend you bring all your own food, water and other drinks needed for the day. The cafes are often really busy and the waiting time would be too long. We will make time to stop off at the Waseley cafe which will be at around the 15 mile mark.

You will need suitable kit - and footwear - for the day.

I will provide details of my address - the starting point - prior to the day.
