Sunday Deep-Dive Discussion: Are We D00med, or Is it Just an Awakening?

"It's over!" exclaim so many sensationalized publications: The housing bubble, the auto bubble, the CRE bubble, American Democracy, Capitalism... Your job, everyone's job, living wages... Love? Family? Relationships? Faith? Is everything really over? Well, it could be, but how you interpret this is a matter of perspective.

But have our society, economy and governance been shifting all along, and we just now noticed now?! Is reality "red-pilling" us? While the term Red Pill has unfortunately taken on quite the negative connotation thanks to angry men on the Internets, it nonetheless describes an important spiritual lesson, that of awakening.

We describe awakening across many different contexts, but it always describes a gain in consciousness or awareness. Whether this is a new perspective on how the economy works, office politics, your social interactions, or a new relationship with a Higher Power, this holds true regardless. But it is a often a discomforting change that takes quite the conscious decision (no pun intended) to pursue. THIS is what the Red Pill actually describes as The Matrix presented back in 1999.
But this movie drew from timeless spiritual lessons.

The Blue Pill is the choice of blissful ignorance, one that is irresistibly tempts with its promise of comfort and joy in the moment. But tough times unveil yet another choice between the Black Pill and the White Pill, the choice to be self-destructively nihilistic, playing the victim... or to persevere through and make the best of our situations, respectively.

What to Expect
This will be group deep-dive discussion followed by plenty of organic social time. Let’s make it a goal to connect deeply with as many people as possible! I challenge each one of you to learn the names of anyone you speak to and try to remember something interesting about them. I don't want to hear "I'm bad with names."; choose to be better!

Your food and drink choices are up to you. I will do my best to facilitate and make sure everyone is connected and gets to know each other.

Where to Find Us & About the Venue
We will set up in the very nice and very private event room (see attached pictures) at This La Madeleine location in West Plano at the SW corner of the larger Park-Preston mega-intersection. Feel free to check out their menu of assorted pastries, soups, sandwiches, desserts, teas, and coffee with plenty of budget options. There is plenty of space to continue to hang out and mingle even after the official end of the event!
