Millennial + Gen Z Mini-Group Discussion & Connections @ Civil Pour DALLAS

Has the cabin fever got you feeling cooped up? Ready to light that social connection flame once again?! Why not come out for some quality deep conversation and hot drinks? Sure, it may be ice cold outside this Saturday, but we will be indoors with plenty of sun radiating in through the south-facing windows!

Please note that this is the original Civil Pour location in North Central Dallas. (This is NOT the newer Richardson location where we've met more recently FYI.) Come to meet, mingle, learn and discover from each other via smaller, informal discussions, not the periodic large group discussion format that I lead. The objective is to get everyone to get past the small-talk and go deeper.

Themes and Questions (may change as the date approaches)
Are you just your resume? When you are asked who you are, besides your workplace and where you reside, what else are you? Yes, it's a deep question and one we have recently explored in our discussions on authenticity.

But what can "method acting" teach us about not only being more authentic but actually being and embodying life itself? Are you merely going through the motions and living life repetitively, seemingly controlling a video game avatar indirectly through mind's eye? Or can you actually be? We often poke fun at putting on the right face or social convention, but what if you actually believe what you are saying, feeling or expressing?!

What to Expect
Let’s make it a goal to connect deeply with as many people as possible! I challenge each one of you to learn the names of anyone you speak to and try to remember something interesting about them. I don't want to hear "I'm bad with names."; choose to be better!

Your food and drink choices are up to you. I will do my best to facilitate and make sure everyone is connected and gets to know each other. Our objective above all is connecting meaningfully!

Where to Find Us
We will set up at one or more tables inside. Look for our sign! Please be aware that parking may be a little tight due to the construction immediately next door to Civil Pour, but that has no impact on the cafe interior itself.

About the Venue
If you're not into coffee, no problem! Civil Pour has quite a food menu as well as a host of other beverages including teas, beer and much more, so feel free to do your own thing.
