Pi Day is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant π (pi) usually represented by it's first three digits 3.14. It was founded in 1988 by Larry Shaw, an employee of a science museum in San Francisco, the Exploratorium.

In this fun celebration, we'll be playing a few of my pie themed board games and sampling pies for prizes. Some options include:

These games are less played, so we'll all be learning them together and a teach will be provided before each game. If you have pie games you'd like to bring, please sent me a message so we can coordinate.

Everyone should feel free to bring a pi-themed food dish to share--not required. This could be sweet, savory, or mathematical (think 3.14"). In the past, folks have brought whole pies, bought pies, or made hand pies--the creativity is up to you!

***If you RSVP but we haven't met yet, I'm going to move you to "not going" and ask you to join me at one of our 56 library meetups first before coming to a game at my home.***

I'll be hosting it at a location near UTC and will send directions to those who RSVP the day before the event. Please arrive on-time to be respectful to other players and to give us the most playing time.
