Winterthur Meadow & Woodland Hike: Scenic Views & Social Stroll

Escape into the deep woods and rolling hills of one of Delaware's most beautiful hidden treasures! We are heading out to explore the massive, 1,000-acre backcountry trail network at Winterthur. Whether you are looking to get some steps in, take some photos, or just meet some fantastic new people in the community, this is the perfect casual weekend trek.

Our Route: The Chandler Woods & Meadow LoopDistance: ~2.5 miles total
Difficulty: Easy to moderate (rolling hills, mowed-grass paths, and dirt trails)
Pace: Casual and social (we walk together, nobody gets left behind!)
Highlights: Towering old-growth hardwood forests, wide-open meadow vistas, and a quick peek at the historic estate grounds.

Admission: This trail network is free for Winterthur members. Non-members will need to purchase a standard garden ticket at the Visitor Center desk to access the grounds.

What to Wear/Bring: Comfortable hiking shoes or sneakers, a water bottle.

We will gather on the paved plaza right outside the main entrance of the Winterthur Visitor Center. Please ignore the pin on the map and just use the address provided.
