The 905 Circle (A Creative Collective for 20 Somethings)

Hey! I’m Chinenye, a creative and community builder based in Oakville. I started the 905 Circle because I kept hearing (and feeling) the same thing over and over: There needs to be more creative opportunity for youth living in the suburbs & we don’t always have to commute to Toronto for fun things.

Oakville and other parts of the 905 can feel quiet, polished, and isolating if you’re a creative, a dreamer, or someone craving deeper connection. I wanted to create something different.

The 905 Circle is a creative community for 20-somethings across the 905, a space rooted in care, creativity, and genuine connection. This isn’t about performative networking or hustle culture. It’s about gathering intentionally, supporting one another’s work, and building friendships through shared creative energy.

We host:

• poetry workshops & other creative workshops
• art crawls and gallery visits
• open mics & community showcases
• & much more

Most gatherings take place across Oakville, Hamilton, Mississauga, and Burlington, with partnerships and pop-ups expanding as the community grows.

Whether you’re a writer, artist, musician, designer, photographer or someone who simply loves being around creative people — there’s room for you here.
