We will park and meet on Mike Lake Road. Check map and photo.
This trail used to be a rail spur for logging about 80 years ago so the grade on the most part is even. 8.7 km one way. Some artifacts along the trail include a train wheel, some rail and cables.
Very nice trail. There are a couple of steep sections at the beginning and the end as the trail is above the road.
We will have lunch at the Gold Creek beach area. Either at the start of North Beach Trail or at the end dependent upon arrival. We can make a decision then.
Wear proper clothing for weather conditions, good hiking boots or sturdy shoes, bring poles, snack/lunch/water etc..... Be aware of what you are able/capable of doing and come prepared. READ ALL OF THE ABOVE.
