******Biking will be weather dependent. Sometimes it can be a last minute post so make sure you check your calendar Sunday night and by 8am on Monday morning.

MAKE SURE YOUR BIKE IS IN GOOD CONDITION -
TIRES ARE INFLATED BEFORE ARRIVING TO THE STARTING POINT -
MAKE SURE YOUR BRAKES WORK - HAVE A REPAIR KIT AS WELL AS AN EXTRA INNER TUBE.

Be aware that all members and guests cycle at their own risk. Once you sign up, we are not liable for any mishaps and we do not have any medical training. Please be responsible for yourself and follow all cycling rules and the leader’s agenda. To help you to be seen and heard on the road, the following equipment is strongly recommended for your bicycle: a bell, flashing front and back lights or reflectors. A mirror is another important addition.

PACE: easy comfortable pace - please do not go faster than the majority of the group. If you get ahead and do not know the venue you are responsible for yourself. Rule of thumb for safety, wait at all junctions.

Difficulty: Easy if you have biked regularly or moderate if you have only biked a little bit. There are options to turn back most times.

Distance: approx 40+kms+/-

Elevation Gain: minimal

Time: approx 4+ hours depending on pace and stops

Bring: water, lunch and snack.

Wear: weather appropriate clothing and shoes

Season: fair weather cycling year round

****THERE IS A RETURN POINT FOR A SHORTER RIDE for those who prefer not to do the full day's ride. Approx 26kms.

Meet Up: 9:30am at the Rosedale Community Park....CHECK MAP.

INFO:
Lovely scenic ride through the country with part of the ride along the Fraser River to Island 22 or to a park in town where we will have lunch dependent on the mosquitoes.
After lunch we can stop at a coffee shop (if there is an open one) in Rosedale then return to our car via the country roads.
