If you are new to the group please make sure you read ALL OF THE INFO in the "WHAT WE ARE ABOUT" section. Most of your questions should be answered there.

Our aim is for you to enjoy your venue in comfort and to have you arrive at the end of your chosen venue happy and safe as well as satisfied with your leader as well as your venue.

THE HIKE:
Difficulty: easy to moderate depending on fitness level. Difficult if new to hiking due to length. This trail is a bit more technical than Railway Trail which is on the other side of the lake.
Distance: approx. 17 kms return
Elevation Gain: minimal, rolling hills and flat sections.
Time: 4.5 - 5 hours depending on fitness and pace
Bring: lunch/snack/water
Wear: clothing/footwear suitable for the weather and a change of clothing in your bag/car
Season: I prefer summer due to slippery conditions when wet and it is cool in the forest.
Meet Up: 9:30am Reservoir Trail parking lot - watch for a large blue sign that says Reservoir Trail on it.
INFO:
Nice scenic forested trail. Views of Hayward lake and steps down from the trail to Steelhead Falls along the way. Rough and muddy sections if it has been raining. Poles and gaitors an option. A few short hills and long low grades. Nice trails for the most part. Lunch close to the lake but the dock may be closed. Bring something to sit on in case it is wet.

Please check the map the day prior you leave as it can be tricky to find.
Click on the red dot on the map for directions. THERE IS NO ADDRESS. It is called the Steelhead Falls Parking Lot on the map but not on the road. Park in the parking lot- if full we will have to park on the road if allowed. LOOK FOR THE SIGN ON THE ROAD FOR "THE RESERVOIR TRAIL" ..it can be tricky as there is a sharp downhill turn off of Dewdney Trunk Rd. into the parking lot.
