Our aim is for you to enjoy your venue in comfort and to have you arrive at the end of your chosen venue happy and safe as well as satisfied with your leader as well as your venue.

THE HIKE/WALK:

PACE: comfortable pace - please do not go faster than the majority of the group. If you get ahead and do not know the venue you are responsible for yourself. Rule of thumb for safety, wait at all junctions and look behind to make sure you still see the group.

DIFFICULTY: easy to moderate depending on fitness level

DISTANCE: 13+ kms....a little more if you include Harry's Trail on the return

ELEVATION GAIN: 104m

TIME: 4+hrs depending on pace and fitness.

BRING: snack/lunch/drink

WEAR: good footwear, clothing for the type of day, leave dry clothes/socks/shoes in car just in case it rains or you are damp from your workout.

SEASON: All year unless there is an unusual circumstance.

MEET UP: 9:30am Hayward Lake Recreation Area Parking lot

INFO:
An easy walk out and back along an old railway bed with a few up and downs through some forested areas mixed in. We will rest up on the sandy beach for a snack before heading back. If there is interest we can do Harry's Trail at the end.
