The AFK Cafe | Monthly Book Club Meetup | Horror

## 🌆 Overview

One genre. A whole lot of stories. What will you bring to the table? ☕📖
Join us for the AFK Book Club Meeting, a low-pressure monthly reading club where we explore a featured genre together—without requiring everyone to read the same book.
Each month, the community chooses a featured genre, and you choose what you want to read from it. Pick one story, read five, listen to an audiobook, finish a manga, or simply make it through a few chapters.
Traditional books, ebooks, audiobooks, manga, manhwa, graphic novels, and other similar formats are all welcome.
At our monthly meeting, we'll come back together to talk about what everyone discovered, swap recommendations, and continue building the AFK Book Club Library.

This meeting also marks something new for AFK: Book Club is our first community-run recurring event. ☕🌱
The AFK Team will still be around to provide support, resources, and help when needed, but our Cafe Companions will take the lead in keeping Book Club going—helping guide discussions, choosing what the group explores next, sharing recommendations, and shaping what Book Club becomes over time.

## 📚 What Counts as Reading?

We're not picky about the format.
Bring your:
• Traditional books
• Ebooks
• Audiobooks
• Manga
• Manhwa
• Graphic novels
• Other similar reading formats
There is no reading quota and no requirement for everyone to finish the same title.
Choose something that interests you and read at your own pace.

## 🏛️ The AFK Book Club Library

After each meeting, completed reads from the community will be added to the featured genre's Resource List and our growing AFK Book Club Library.
Over time, we're creating a community-built collection of books and stories that future readers can browse whenever they're looking for something new.

## ☕ Participation Style

Didn't finish your book? Come anyway.
Read one book, read several, show up halfway through your first one, or simply come hear what everyone else discovered.
Share as much or as little as you'd like. The goal isn't to keep up with an assignment—it's to have a reason to explore stories together.
