This novel tell us the story of Milan, a Young boy of 11 years. At the end of the summer of 1994, his mother imposes on him the presence of a supposed cousin his own age, Claude. At first, he is disturbed by this mute, wounded boy who has just arrived from Rwanda. He doesn't know it yet, but it's the start of a long quest that will take him to the source of the family mystery and to the origins of the drama in Rwanda, which is in the midst of rebuilding after the Tutsi genocide. There, he finds a family: his grandmother Eusébie, generous and determined, Claude, always dreamy, and little Stella, who often takes refuge at the top of the jacaranda tree, her favourite.
The book is available in library, only in French.
