About us

This is a group for people who want to practice talking about philosophy, not just read it or agree with it. We meet to slow down, ask careful questions, and work through ideas together, whether they come from classic texts, everyday life, or something that has been bothering us lately. The aim is to listen well, explain ourselves clearly, and get a little better at thinking in public.

You do not need a philosophy background, and you do not need to have the right answer ready. Some meetings will be structured around a short reading or question; others may be more open, with time to test an argument, revisit a disagreement, or simply follow a thought further than we usually get to. What matters most is curiosity, patience, and a willingness to take other people seriously.

If you have ever left a conversation wishing it had gone deeper, or wanted a place where changing your mind is allowed, you will probably feel at home here. Come as you are, bring a question if you have one, and expect a thoughtful, low-pressure room.
