Tarot Symbols: Keys to Opening Your Intuitive Reading Abilities & Skills

The old saying "A picture is worth a thousand words," truly applies to Tarot. The Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles/Coins/Disks are only the beginning of the tarot pictorial alphabet that comprises the ocean of symbols that convey intuitive meaning to reader and querent.

The symbols we perceive on the cards speak directly to our subconscious store of learning, experiences, stored emotions, and paradigms of belief. All of this hidden information comes bubbling up to the surface of our consciousness to help us deal with current events in our lives. Tarot helps us grow and expand our vocabulary of symbols and range of meanings, and thus grow and expand our ability to adapt to, and manage, the events in our lives and our responses to them.

Inspired by the ongoing work of Mary K. Greer in this area, we're going to look at Intuition vs Psychic "knowing", Intuition vs Logical thought processing, and Instinct vs Training. A bibliography of books recommended by Mary will be provided for further study.
