No Kings In Seattle - Nationwide Mass Protest Against Trump's Corruption

Details
Starting with a brief rally at NOON on Saturday, June 14th in Cal Anderson Park. We’ll start our peaceful march at 1:00 pm to Seattle Center. We’re standing up for our democracy, our constitution, and a government by the people and for the people.
NO KINGS is a national day of action and mass mobilization in response to the authoritarianism and corruption from Trump and his allies. June 14th is Flag Day and Trump’s birthday, and (like a dictator) Trump is spending $45 million of our money on a military parade in D.C.. But the flag doesn’t belong to Donald Trump. It belongs to us. This is OUR country. This is our democracy, and we have to act to keep it.
Trump directs U.S. foreign policy based on his *own* financial interests, he is disappearing people off the street, directing all of our tax money to I.C.E., cutting our government services and healthcare, creating the largest class disparity in our nation's history, and attacking our civil rights -all while defying court orders and the constitution. His actions are impeachable, but nothing changes if we stay home.
Speakers include Rep Pramila Jayapal (ASL interpretation provided). Grab your cowbells, kazoos, and a group of friends to march with. We’re asking you to join this people’s movement and help spread the word. If we’re going to be heard in Washington D.C., we need every constituency standing up in solidarity!
About the importance of peaceful protest: A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. That’s not just a moral stance—it’s a strategic one. Movements that create lasting change do so by building trust, forging solidarity, and demonstrating discipline, even in the face of threats or attacks.
Non-violence doesn’t mean backing down. It means standing firm in our values, channeling our anger and our hope into action, and refusing to become what we’re fighting against. We are up against a movement that feeds on fear and chaos. Our answer is a movement grounded in courage, solidarity, and the unshakable belief that a better, more just democracy is worth fighting for—together.
