What we’re about
Our group's purpose is to provide an outlet for socialization and fun in Amarillo and the surrounding community. In my experience, the Panhandle of Texas is a notoriously difficult place to make friends and establish new social circles, especially for people new to the area. We want to be a place where people of all backgrounds and ages can feel free to interact and enjoy a wide range of social activities. We try to have at least one planned event per month and will often add other activities as members see fit. Some things we've done in the past include dancing, restaurants, city sponsored events, concerts, nights on the town, rock climbing, and much more. If you're new, feel free to introduce yourself here or RSVP and meet in person. I think you'll find that we're a friendly and inviting group of people. Also, if you have suggestions for future events, please contact any of the group leaders and let us know. Hope to see you guys out there!

The Nutcracker at Amarillo Civic Center with drinks to follow at Paramount Club
Amarillo Civic Center, 401 South Buchanan Street, Amarillo, TX, USJoin us for the Lone Star Ballet production of The Nutcracker at the Amarillo Civic Center on Friday, December 12, with curtain at 7:30 p.m. This long-running Amarillo production is quite good, comparable to the performances in larger cities. If you’ve never seen The Nutcracker before, don’t worry, the plot makes more sense than most holiday family gatherings. And the music is fantastic - the Amarillo Symphony always delivers.
We’ll plan to meet in the Civic Center lobby at 7:15 so there’s time to say hello before the show starts. I have three extra tickets available for $33.50 each. If you’d like one, please contact me directly. Our group seats are in Left Center, on the middle-aisle side about halfway up. If you prefer to purchase your own ticket, you can aim for that area so we’re all in roughly the same section: Panhandle Tickets- Dec 12
After the performance, anyone who wants to keep the evening going is invited to head over to the Paramount Recreation Club, the speakeasy bar in the basement of The Barfield hotel on Polk. The Paramount started life as a Prohibition-era hideout and has been revived as a low-key spot for classic cocktails, vintage spirits, and light bites, reached through a discreet entrance downstairs. Should be a fun night, see you guys out there.5 attendees
