A Two Hour Zoom Lecture and Demonstration
This class is for those who are interested in clothing design, beginners welcomed! Learn the design principles needed to take an existing pattern and make it your own. The perfect entry into pattern drafting! Working from Pamela's Patterns (or any tried-and-true pattern of your choice), you will see how simple changes can make these patterns do double and triple duty. Pamela will demonstrate how to make neckline and sleeve changes to expand a simple pattern into many looks. This class is guaranteed to get your "inner designer" inspired!
We’ll cover as many design ideas as possible in the time allowed, including:
Neckline Adaptations – v-neck, modern mock neck, attached cowl
Neckline Finishes – creating facings and the “flange” technique
Sleeves – gathered cap, gathered wrist, tulip style
Sleeve Finishes – knit cuff and faux cuff
