Modern Android Project Development

Details
In this meetup, we will work on the Argus project, a modern, strongly opinionated, Android project currently in active development using Kotlin, Compose, Coroutines, and Clean Code, with a strong emphasis on Functional Programming Style.
If you watch streaming videos and develop modern Android libraries or apps then read on for more information. If not then this meetup is not for you.
Argus exists to manage streaming video (tv series and movies) experiences. It consolidates all networks/watch providers, maintains an ongoing watch history, helps to find interesting videos, and just generally makes watching videos a more enjoyable experience.
Argus is a FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) project. It is also free as in beer, does not contains ads and, even better, could make Users money if they decide to make their viewing history available anonymously to third parties who value that data. Again, this is only with the User's explicit consent, and will never include personally identifiable information.
What's in it for you, as a modern Android developer? A ton of fun. An opportunity to improve your Android development experience in a safe, respectful environment. A chance to work on a project with no deadlines, no bullying managers and no competitive colleagues.
What you won't get is rich. Or paid. Or famous. You're on your own for those.
We will use Zoom to start but eventually switch to Discord.
We will leverage tools like Code With Me or Code Together or others as they become available. These tools are pretty limited now but should get better over time.
We start at 1:00 EST and turn into pumpkins at 3:00.
