What we’re about
Friendly, supportive and fun group with a focus on practicing and playing songs together. Meets 2nd Sunday or 3rd Sunday of the month at 4pm in Montclair, VA. Location rotates from home to home. Songs played are mostly easy popular music plus whatever participants would like to play. Participants have varying ability ranging from beginner to advanced, to people who've been playing off and on for years, on up to (tolerant) experienced performers. Not a good setting for learning from scratch but OK if you know most of the open chords.

As an alternative to "ultimate-guitar", members can utilize whatever source material they choose and can provide the group with their arrangement prior to the meet-up. Bring a guitar, capo, music stand if you have one (we can share if needed). Some members bring instruments such as harmonica, bass guitar, mandolin and other percussion instruments. Singers are welcome too!
In addition to playing new songs, we also revisit previous songs for practice, have solo and improvisation opportunities for all skill levels, and will attempt anything else that sounds good acoustically. Please feel free to make any recommendations and/or suggestion that will make this meet-up more enjoyable and productive for all.
