Fiber Fair: A Celebration of Fiber Arts with Live Demos, Workshops, and More!

Details
Join us for a fun filled day of Fiber Arts! See professional fiber artists doing live demos of spinning thread from raw wool, needlefelting whimsical sculptures, painting on silk, traditional indigo dyeing, and more. You can even meet some angora rabbits!
We'll have a room full of all-ages crafts projects for people to try their hand at things like weaving or making traditional yarn dolls, and we have three mini-workshops available for more in-depth skills: fabric flower crafting, painting on fabric, and sewing a zipper pouch.
Several of our artisans will have their work or raw materials for sale, so you can go home with a one-of-a-kind piece or everything you need to get into a new hobby.
The Fiber Fair is held in conjunction with our two gallery exhibitions, By a Thread and Sandy Teepen's Quilted Collage solo exhibit. It's a fun way to take in the art, learn something new, and meet some interesting people.
The event is free and family friendly, but our make and take workshops have limited space, minimum ages, and a small fee ($5-15) to cover materials. Secure your free ticket and workshop spaces here: https://www.itstheartcenter.org/events/fiber-fair-1
