Details
Step away from the noise and distractions of everyday life and reconnect with your creative practice. This 90-minute online workshop is designed for anyone who wants to explore mindfulness as a tool to enhance focus, deepen flow, and spark inspiration.
Drawing on principles from Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), this workshop combines evidence-based mindfulness techniques with practical creative exercises. You’ll learn how to:
- Quiet the inner critic and reduce creative blocks
- Build sustainable habits for your practice
- Harness attention and presence to enhance imagination
- Connect with a supportive community of fellow creatives
Through a mix of guided exercises, practical techniques, and reflective practices, these methods are adaptable to any form of creative work—from writing and painting to research and design.
About Your Teacher
I am an academic and writer with extensive experience teaching, researching, and publishing on creativity and contemplative practices. Over the course of my career, I have worked with thousands of students, and practitioners at all levels, helping them to develop clarity, confidence, and depth in their own work. Alongside my academic work, I am a qualified Psychosynthesis Coach and Clinical Hypnotherapist, trained to support personal growth, transformation, and wellbeing. I am also a certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher (MBSR/MBCT) and a registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), which allows me to bring together contemplative, embodied, and psychological approaches in an integrated way. This combination of scholarship, coaching, therapeutic training, and meditative practice gives me a unique perspective on creativity as both discipline and discovery.
