There’s a moment in every creative process where the work starts to feel a little challenging, a little too close to the bone, or just plain 'not good enough'. That voice of the inner critic is familiar to all creatives.
This 90-minute workshop explores the relationship between perfectionism and the inner critic, with tools for working through both. Alongside it, we’ll meet the creative subpersonalities that shape our process: the harsh editor, the anxious beginner, the hidden visionary, the one who never quite finishes.
Rather than trying to silence these voices, we’ll get curious about them. Who are they? What are they trying to do? And what happens when we shift from being ruled by them to being in relationship with them?
Expect a mix of teaching, guided reflection, and practical exercises designed to help you:

  • Recognise your own perfectionist patterns and where they come from
  • Identify the different “voices” that show up in your creative work
  • Loosen the grip of the inner critic without losing discernment
  • Build a more spacious, collaborative inner creative process

This is a space for writers, artists, researchers, and anyone working with ideas who wants to move from self-protection to self-expression, without forcing, pushing, or pretending.
