Reconnect with Nature | Slow Down | Find Inner Calm
In our fast-paced lives, we spend much of our time surrounded by screens, deadlines, traffic, responsibilities, and constant mental stimulation. We rarely give ourselves the opportunity to slow down, breathe deeply, and simply experience the natural world around us.
What if spending time in nature could become more than just a weekend outing?
Welcome to The Art of Forest Bathing โ Pune, a community inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, commonly known as forest bathing.
Forest bathing is the mindful practice of immersing ourselves in a natural environment and experiencing it through our senses. It is not about swimming, trekking, covering distances, or reaching a destination. It is about slowing down, becoming present, and allowing ourselves to reconnect with nature.
๐ฑ What Is Forest Bathing?
Forest bathing invites us to experience nature without rushing or needing to accomplish anything.
It could mean:
Walking slowly beneath a canopy of trees.
Listening to birds, leaves, and the sounds of the forest.
Observing sunlight, colours, textures, and natural patterns.
Feeling the breeze and noticing the fragrance of the earth.
Sitting quietly and allowing the mind to settle.
Experiencing moments of stillness, awareness, and connection.
There is no competition, no fitness target, and no pressure to perform.
๐ What We Do
We organise mindful outdoor experiences and nature-based gatherings around Pune, including:
- Guided Forest Bathing Walks
Slow, mindful walks through green spaces and natural surroundings, with simple invitations to engage our senses.

- Sensory Awareness Activities
Simple experiences that encourage us to notice the sounds, colours, textures, smells, and rhythms of nature.
- Silent Walks & Reflection
Occasional quiet walks that offer space for introspection, mental relaxation, and a deeper connection with the present moment.

๐ฟ Our Philosophy
We believe that sometimes the best thing we can do for ourselves is to slow down.
Nature does not ask us to achieve, compete, prove, or perform. It simply invites us to be present.
Our gatherings are designed around simplicity, respect for nature, mindful exploration, and meaningful human connection.
We encourage participants to leave behind the pressure of everyday routines for a while and rediscover the beauty of simply being.
Forest bathing is a wellness and mindfulness practice, not a substitute for medical or mental-health treatment.
