What we’re about
This meetup is a collective of creative and curious souls who want to be inspired by the world and each other. Whether it’s a visit to a Museum in New York, a concert in Princeton or watching the sunset on a junk in Ha Long Bay, we can share the wonders together.
A little about me…. I’ve been a professional photographer for over 18 years. I’ve actually been designated a Master photographer by the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). I am one of the few women to have this distinction. I’m also a lover of travel, food, art, music, theater and great conversation! This group should satisfy my many pleasures. I presently also facilitate Princeton Fine Dining also. Whether you are a painter, a writer, a photographer, a musician, a gourmet, an architect or just someone who enjoys all the wonders and culture of the world, please join me. You may reside in Princeton or San Francisco; it really doesn’t matter. This group is about travel, beauty, culture and camaraderie.
Join me for the adventure.

Sweeney Todd - The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
Music Mountain Theatre, 1483 New Jersey 179, Lambertville, NJ, USWhat a perfect way to complete our ghoulish Halloween weekend. How about the finest musical ever written by Stephen Sondheim! Better yet, a musical and a serial killer! The Demon barber of Fleet Street. I love this musical so much I performed in it twice. I hear fabulous things about the shows at Music Mountain Theater in Lambertville, so I'm really looking forward to going.
Let's attend the dark, witty and Tony Award-winning tale of love, murder and revenge set against the backdrop of 19th century London. An infamous tale, Sweeney Todd, an unjustly exiled barber, returns to nineteenth century London, seeking vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, above which, he opens a new barber practice. Mrs. Lovett's luck sharply shifts when Todd's thirst for blood inspires the integration of an ingredient into her meat pies that has the people of London lining up... and the carnage has only just begun!
TICKETS:
Because I will be out of town, if you would like to join us you need to purchase your own ticket. We are in Rows E & F. You can buy your ticket here: Sweeney Todd Ticket:
DINNER:
I thought we could do a 12:30 brunch at Lambertville Station prior to the show. It seems some don't want to drive home on the country roads in the dart. Let me know if you would like to join us. Here is their Brunch menu: Lambertville Station Brunch13 attendees
Jackie O The Opera
Nicholas Music Center, 85 George Street, New Brunswick, NJ, USJackie O, by Michael Daugherty, is a pop opera set in the late 1960s that fuses elements of high and popular culture. Centered on Jackie Kennedy Onassis’s transformation into an American icon, the work combines drama, suspense, and spectacle while reimagining opera in a modern American setting. It sets to libretto - various episodes from the tumultuous life of first lady turned shipping heiress turned book editor Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. It sounds pretty wild and includes everyone from Maria Callas, to Aristotle Onassis and even Andy Warhol!
This opera does sound over the top. I have yet to see a modern English opera the was fabulous, but for $10 tickets let's have a fun afternoon. (Let's not forget Nixon in China!!!!!)
TICKETS:
I am sold out of the discount tickets for Jackie O but you can still purchase your own if you would like to join us. You can but your tickets at this link: Tickets for Jackie OLUNCH:
I thought we could do a noon lunch at On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina (51 U.S. Rte 1, New Brunswick) which is very close to the theater. You can check out their menu here: On The Border Mexican Grill Menu10 attendees
Circus Quixote - SOLD OUT
McCarter Theater, Princeton University, 91 University Place, Princeton, NJ, USAs a lover of all things Don Quixote you know I can't miss this one! Cervantes’ classic is reimagined in a dazzling new production from the creators of McCarter audience favorites, Lookingglass Alice and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.
Somewhere in La Mancha there lived a man who read so many books that his brains dried up…so he becomes a knight! As Don Quixote embarks on his impossible quest for justice, Lookingglass Theatre’s signature acrobatics, breathtaking visuals, and boundless imagination transport audiences into his wild, windmill-tilting world. ircus Quixote, Lookingglass Theatre's adaptation of Miguel de Cervantes’ classic novel, Don Quijote of La Mancha, is a perfect example of what the theater company does best: combining heart with whimsy, magic with humor. The tale about a kind dreamer who may be touched by madness and who goes on an impossible quest to make the world a better place couldn’t come at a more opportune time. I can't wait!
TICKETS:
I don't have any tickets left. They were $61. If you remain on the waitlist I'll let you know if anyone needs to sell their tickets.LUNCH:
I though we could go to the Dinky Bar for a noon lunch. It's right across the street from McCarter. Very easy. You can check out the menu here: Dinky Bar Menu20 attendees

TRAVEL WITH FRIENDS AND FINDING A ROOMMATE:
It's always more fun when we know the people we are traveling with. For those in New Jersey we will have meetups every 4 months at restaurants prior to our trip (exclusive to our travelers) so members can get to know one another. I think it's one of the very special benefits of a meetup travel tour. It will also be an opportunity for you to meet other travelers who are traveling single and might want to share a room. It's a wonderful way to find that perfect roommate! On all my past tours, everyone who wanted a roommate found a roommate!WHY AM I ON THE WAITING LIST?
Everyone who signs up for the tour will be first put on the waiting list. As soon as you send me your deposit I will switch you to going. There is a limited amount of spots available on this small group tour and being on the waiting list does not guarantee a spot. Please only join the wait list if you are planning on leaving a deposit in the next day or two. Don't join the wait list because you think it sounds like a fun trip you will NOT be doing. Single Rooms!!!! If you want a single room on the tour you need to sign up asap. As always, there is a limited amount available.Once again, you can view the itinerary here
