Welcome to Cape Town's most delightful creative community!
Inspired by Julia Cameron's transformative concept from "The Artist's Way," we're reimagining the solo artist's date as a shared adventure of creative discovery and wonder. Each outing is designed to nurture your creative spirit and refill your artistic well.

For two hours, we’ll wander the National Gallery with fresh eyes, setting aside the usual rush to “understand” or “interpret” art. The aim is not to become an art critic, but to wake up the senses and shift the way you see.

This workshop is about slowing down and paying attention—both to the works on the walls and to the way your own attention works. Through a series of simple, playful exercises, you’ll practice noticing details you might normally overlook: colours, textures, expressions, patterns, even the spaces between things. The aim is not to become an art critic, but to wake up the senses and shift the way you see.

As we move through the space, you’ll also experiment with how your attention moves—what catches it, what resists it, and how it changes when you stay with something longer than you usually would. By the end of the session, you may find that your noticing muscles feel stretched in new directions, leaving you with a refreshed way of looking that you can carry back into your everyday life.
