The Majesty of Humanity - "The Unexamined Life..."

Details
"The unexamined life is not worth living"
This now famous line, which Socrates spoke at his trial, has rippled throughout Western Civilization. If we could sum his legacy in one maxim, it would be this quote. We must know ourselves and always question our beliefs, actions and purpose in life.
Come and discuss your ideas, your writings or books and videos about where we've been and where we're going because fundamentally, it is our curiosity that must drive our purpose in life, to seek out experiences and adventures; to explore and understand the world around us, the beauty in the nature of Nature. To hear the voices of those who have come before us in the arts, in literature and poetry. And certainly in the sciences which have created a transcendental evolution from our once brutish and painful struggle for simple survival, and to do so in ways that religion never has nor could. While Religion once helped us cope with misery now science strives to mitigate misery. While religion once gave us hope now science gives us expectations. While religion used to guide us in the dark, now science illuminates it. And while religion showed us the heavens, now science takes us to them.
