Scenic walk to Castle farm Lavender fields (via Darent Valley)

Join us for a scenic afternoon walk along the beautiful Darent Valley Path to the stunning Castle Farm Lavender Fields.

We’ll meet at Blackfriars Station at 14:25 to take the 14:43 train to Shoreham Station (Kent). The walk from Shoreham to the lavender fields takes about 35 to 45 minutes at a gentle pace, following the Darent Valley Path—a picturesque route that winds through meadows, woods, and alongside the River Darent, offering charming countryside views and plenty of photo opportunities.

Once we arrive at Castle Farm, we’ll have around 1 hour and 30 minutes to:
Stroll through the beautiful lavender fields
Take photos
Relax with a tea or coffee
Explore the farm shop, which offers:
Lavender products (essential oils, pillow sprays, soaps)
Farm produce, honey, chutneys
Gifts and wellness items
Enjoy treats from the refreshment trailer, including drinks, cakes, and light bites
Use clean toilets and picnic areas if desired

Afterwards, we’ll walk back the same way to Shoreham, which takes another 35-45 minutes, and aim to return to London on either the 18:02 or 19:02 train, depending on the group’s pace and energy.

Tickets are timed entry and are not guaranteed on the day, so it is essential to book ahead to secure your spot.

I have already bought tickets for two people at 16:40 to visit the lavender fields. The visit to the fields lasts 1 hour. The ticket costs 7pounds per person.
Other areas of the farm, such as café, or shop can be visited separately without a timed ticket.

📍 Meeting point at Blackfriars Station:

Please meet us at the Thameslink ticket machines, which are right next to WHSmith, just before the ticket barriers.
⏰ Arrive by 14:25 at the latest to allow time to buy your train ticket and group up for discounts.
