Details
Mindfulness, which can be practiced through techniques like meditation, is intentional awareness in the present moment without judgment or attachment. Mindfulness does not come naturally, our brains have to be trained to be in the present.
This monthly meditation class will strengthen your mindfulness abilities by teaching you how to fully participate in the present experience, cultivate less anxiety, and increase joy and connection. We will practice decreasing judgement and increasing self-compassion for others, which will build more confidence, understanding, and acceptance of our authentic selves. The skills you will learn in this group are the building blocks of increasing distress tolerance and managing difficult emotions.
