See all- Jazzy Sundays in the Park - Water Works in Buffalo Bayou ParkBuffalo Bayou Park, Houston, TX
Join AyoBlackGirl as we enjoy an awesome evening of FREE music at Water Works in Buffalo Bayou Park (105-B Sabine St.). Bring your friend, a boo, or even your furry bestie and come sway the night away as we enjoy artists Bobby Lyle and Patric Johnston.
AyoBlackGirl will try and grab a section of the park to accommodate our group but it does get packed and quickly so try to plan for an early arrival. There is street parking in the area but since it is downtown it will go fast so arrive early!
Bobby Lyle, the legendary pianist and organist, has been captivating audiences for over three decades with his unparalleled talent and groundbreaking contributions to jazz. His debut album, The Genie, was a game-changer, exploding onto the Billboard charts and solidifying his status as a musical prodigy. A native of Minneapolis, Bobby began his professional journey as a pianist at just 16, later studying advanced piano at Macalester College before embarking on a full-time music career.
All concerts are free and family friendly. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs. Food and drink will be available for purchase. A pop-up market will be on site at each park with locally crafted items, food and wearables.
Jazzy Sundays, made possible by a grant from Kinder Foundation, is organized by Discovery Green Conservancy in collaboration with Emancipation Park Conservancy and Buffalo Bayou Partnership.
