About us

Welcome to The Barakah Social Circle!

We are a vibrant social community dedicated to bringing people together through shared experiences. Whether we are conquering a scenic hiking trail, sharing a delicious dinner, or embarking on an outdoor adventure, our goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and relaxed space. Come as a stranger, leave as a friend, and help us build a community filled with barakah (blessing) and meaningful, lifelong relationships.

Welcome to Our Community! 🌟

We are excited to have you join our social group for hikes, dinners, and outdoor adventures. This is a great place to meet people, form deep connections, and build lifelong relationships, all while keeping our gatherings safe, welcoming, and relaxed.

🍃 Group Environment & Values

  • Alcohol-Free: We are a teetotal group! All of our events are completely alcohol-free. We kindly ask everyone to respect this shared space.
  • Wholesome Atmosphere: Our focus is on genuine connection, laughter, and nature. We keep our interactions respectful and ask that all behavior and conversations remain polite and appropriate for a wholesome social setting.

👋 Membership & Attendance

  • Host Discretion: To maintain a safe and comfortable environment for everyone, the host reserves the right to approve, deny, or remove members from the group or specific events at any time.
  • RSVP Deadline: If your plans change, please update your RSVP at least 24 hours before the event.
  • Two-Strike Policy: To respect everyone's time and our venue bookings, missing an event twice without updating your RSVP (within 24 hours), or arriving late to two events, will mean removal from future gatherings.
  • This is not a singles group. Open to couples but no children or furry pets. No dogs and no under 21s.

🥾 Keeping Yourself Safe

  • Self-Care: This is a casual group of peers coming together for fun. Every member is entirely responsible for their own safety, health, and well-being.
  • Be Prepared: Please bring your own appropriate gear, water, snacks, and personal medical supplies for outdoor trips.
  • Peace of Mind: The host acts as a coordinator, not a professional guide, and assumes no liability for any injuries, losses, or damages that may occur during our events or while travelling.

🌻 Respecting Nature & Each Other

  • Kindness First: We treat all members, restaurant or other staff, and fellow trail users with warmth and respect.
  • Leave No Trace: We cherish the outdoors! Please help us protect nature by packing out all trash and following local trail guidelines.

📸 Photos, Videos & Memories

  • Capturing Memories: Many of love taking photos and videos during our adventures, some may share on our group page or social media.
  • Opting Out: If you prefer not to be in pictures or videos, just let the host know before the event starts. We will happily inform the group to keep you out of the frame.
  • Friendly Reminder: While we do our absolute best to respect your privacy, the host cannot be held responsible if another member or us accidentally includes you in a shot or video snippet.
