Ladies of Reading - do you love to sing?

The Barberettes is a 50 year old, award winning, female a capella / barbershop style chorus that meets weekly for rehearsals, then we perform in local “singouts” a few times per year. It is a very warm, friendly and inclusive group.

You need to be able to sing in tune but you do NOT need to be able to read music as we use teaching tracks split into the four parts of bass, baritone, lead and tenor. We learn and improve technique together at rehearsals. No previous choir experience is needed.

We are 40 strong and we would love to grow to 50 this year.

If you would like to come along and sit in on a rehearsal and see what we are all about you will be very welcome. You will be given a guest folder for the evening so you can have a go and follow along and you will be very welcome and supported.

We rehearse on Wednesday evenings at St Nicholas’s Church in Earley, Reading from 7.30 to 10pm.

Open to all women aged 18 plus (no upper age limit!). Please share with any friends and family you think might be interested. It is a fun, social and life affirming activity. We are very proud of our chorus.

Feel free to send me a message if you would like to discuss.
