Are you totally psyched to dance? We are too. We're especially psyched to dance in a beautiful space to a really eclectic but integrated mix of music, without any drinking or drugs to get in the way of the real fun. You'll find a range of ages, and a friendly environment where you can dance in your own space, or interact playfully with others. It's a truly fun dance party!
If you've enjoyed any kind of conscious dance, ecstatic dance, 5 Rhythms, JourneyDance, contact improv, or any other kind of freeform dance, you'll enjoy the Boogie too. ( And if you've never been to any of these things but just love to move and dance, you'll probably love the Boogie too!) Come alone or bring your friends.
At every Boogie you'll hear a wide variety of music: R&B, funk, tribal groove, ambient, world beat, electronica, disco, dub-step, swing-hop, you name it.
The Barefoot Boogie is held at Camp Friendship, 339 8th Ave. Brooklyn, NY 11215.
All ages are welcome (children must be accompanied by an adult). Proceeds from our events go to the Camp Friendship Food Pantry that serves over 500 families and individuals in need every week.
