Talk: Bristol's Slave Trade
Details
Rob Pritchard will be talking about Edward Colston's, and Bristol's involvement in the transatlantic Slave Trade.
Tickets £5 via: https://foccal.com/event/500
Parking is difficult in Clifton Village but, after 5.00 pm, there is free parking nearby in Worcester Road and most of College Road. Bus options on the TravelWest website. Bicycle stands in front of the library.
Doors and the bar open at 6.30 pm and the film starts promptly at 7.00 pm.
Meet by the Meetup sign on top of the bookcase just beyond the bar. I'll get there early to reserve seats for us.
After the talk, maybe join us for a chat about it in the pub next door.
This talk has been organised by Foccal, a group of volunteers which organises excellent free and paid for events to help keep the library open - forthcoming events: https://public.foccal.com/eventlist
