Petanque is a game played with Boules. These are small, but heavy, metal balls. The object of the game is for your team to get as many of their Boules closer to the 'cochonet' (a small wooden ball) than the opposing team. It is a game that requires no previous experience or particular aptitude, suitable for all ages and abilities.

There is no charge for this event, but you must agree to abide by the rules set by the organiser and only use the equipment provided. You must be able to attend for the full time. Also, please be aware that if the pitch is fully in use we may not be able to play at all.

ARRIVE FOR 1pm. We will start when the first 8 players are present. We will play a 'Round Robin' format (3 games each team).

If the weather does not look good enough for Petanque the day before the event it will be cancelled and a skittles event posted instead.

If Petanque is possible we will go for a drink afterwards at the Pulteney Arms.

PLAYERS ATTEND AT THEIR OWN RISK
