CANCELLED - Pen y Fan

Pen y Fan Walk - This is a hard 4 mile mountain walk. You will need to be fit. Pen y Fan is the highest mountain (886 Metres)in South wales. Start point - The walk starts from Pont ar Daf car park (O/S Map 160 grid ref 987199) nearest postcode is for the Storey Arms Centre LD3 8NL, Directions - M4 west to Junction 32, A470 north past Merthyr Tydfil, past 3 reservoirs, and turn right into Pont ar Daf car park, where there are public toilets. If you reach the Storey Arms Centre you have gone a little too far. There is no pub-lunch, though you may find some mobile catering, in the car park. I haven't tried this out, and suggest you bring enough food with you, and: lots of drinking water waterproof clothing walking boots that you are comfortable walking up mountains in, spare layers of clothing. As ever, all walkers attend at their own risk as per the BBE club disclaimer. Well-behaved dogs on leads allowed. NB: PLEASE NOTE THE EARLIER START FOR THIS WALK, AS PYF IS VERY POPULAR AND THE PARKING FILLS UP EARLY
