Clifton LitFest: John Kampfner - Braver New World
Details
'Can societies really solve the biggest challenges of our age? Award-winning journalist, broadcaster and bestselling author John Kampfner argues that they can – if we are prepared to look beyond our own borders.
In Braver New World, Kampfner travels from Japan to Taiwan, Finland, Austria and Morocco to discover how different countries are tackling issues that affect us all: housing, healthcare, education, ageing populations and climate change. These are not idealised utopias, but places where practical, imaginative solutions are already making a difference.' - Foccal summary*
