THE BEAR presents
THE HUMAN SIDE OF SCIENCE — Live on Stage
Female scientists share what the data can’t ... their stories!

Presented by THE BEAR, in collaboration with Falling Walls Female Science Talents and Female Speaking Berlin
Part of Berlin Science Week 2025

## Tuesday, November 4, 2025

Doors 19:00 | Show 19:30
Theater Pool, Boxhagener Straße 18, 3. Hinterhof, 10245 Berlin
🎟 Tickets: €15 / €10 Solidarity / €20 Supporter

These are not lectures but 8-minute true stories, told live and without notes, shaped with care by theater-trained coaches from Female Speaking Berlin.

Our storytellers — Charlotte Berrezueta Palacios, Guanjin Wang, Hari Priya Pettugani, Maira Jimenez, Nereyda Y. Ortiz Osejo, and Paola Carrillo-Bustamante — are part of the Falling Walls Female Science Talents network, a global community redefining leadership, inclusion, and impact in science. Many are flying in from across the globe to attend the Falling Walls Science Summit, and for this one night, they’ll share their personal journeys with a Berlin audience.
Expect lively audience interaction, live music by cellist Illya Chester, and a room full of curious minds.
Produced and hosted by Esther de Bruijn (Co-Founder of Female Speaking Berlin) and Dyane Neiman (Founder & Director of THE bEAR, Berlin’s longest-running stage for true, personal storytelling).

Why It Matters
Women’s voices in science too often go unheard. BEYOND NOW invites us to listen instead, to the lived experiences behind discovery.

“The data tells us there’s a gap. But these personal stories show us what that gap feels like and why it matters.” — Dyane Neiman
