What we’re about

===This Meetup group is for internal Meetup testing use only.===
A group dedicated in finding the best New York cheesecake.
Open to ages 25 and above. Let's hang out and share our experiences about cheesecake.

Pining for the days of classic, old-school Dungeons & Dragons? Have you always wanted to join a gaming group that didn't involve thirty other people in a loud room? Do you prefer meaningful stories and characters over an endless litany of numbers, rules and books?! Looking for a character-based, long-term campaign with a small group, even in the midst of this pandemic?!
Then fret no more, noble adventurer!
We're all about old-school gaming goodness for small groups (3-5 players), in a fun and safe setting for all experience levels and backgrounds, with music, sound fx and animated maps.
We run (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zjXHgT_692JWpIwP-LN1weRs9BnoaK_o/view?usp=sharing) in-person games, in addition to (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KpDNbzKa5itn4uqFq03vDlF9C-gJeTW5/view?usp=sharing] online games at Roll 20, where we use Zoom as well to capture the "around the table" experience. For our rulebook/system, we use Swords & Wizardry, which is essentially the original iteration of Dungeons & Dragons in all its infinite glory and especially suited towards beginners. There's absolutely no obligation to read as we'll cover it in game, but if you'd like to check it out in advance, (http://irontavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/Swords-Wizardry-Complete-revised.pdf) you can download a PDF copy for free (or if you'd like to buy the actual book, you can get it at (https://www.froggodgames.com/product/swords-wizardry-complete-rulebook/) Frog God Games.
*Given that our meetups are small groups (3-5), instead of 10-20 members at a public event, we'd like to ask prospective members to please have a first name and a real photo in their profile if they'd like to join - thanks!*
