How else is it similar/different from Traditional Speed Dating

One on One dates:

We will break participants into pairs of two, just like we do with traditional speed dating. You will get to speak to each dates for a specified amount of time (typically 4-6 minutes). After the specified number of minutes, the guys will rotate to the next date and the process continues.

Just like with traditional speed dating, at the end of the event you will be able to let us know who you were interested in. We will send you both mutual matches (you picked them and they picked you) as well as one way matches (they picked you but you did not pick them).

You are given 20 minutes from the end of the event to let us know who you are interested in and will receive the results the same night (usually within one hour) or the next morning. You will not have to wait 24 hours or more to get your results.

How many potential dates will be there?

The minimum number of potential dates will be 5 and the maximum will be about 15. If for any reason there were less than 5 members of the opposite sex in attendance, you would get credit for a future Virtual event.

How do I find the Virtual Room?

After you purchase your ticket, you will get a confirmation appear on your screen along with the zoom link for you to use to log in.

This event is for singles in the New York area *

Grab a snack or maybe even a cocktail and get ready for a fun night of dates from the comfort of your own home! Our friendly host will welcome everyone and then you'll go on a series of live 1 on 1 video dates on Zoom. A new dater will show up on your screen every 5 minutes or so until you meet everyone. At the end of the event you'll be able to select those you'd like to see again. If they mutually matched with you, our host will send you each others' email addresses within 24 hours of the event. Ticket price will be going up as event time approaches and we have very limited spots available so please sign up as soon as possible. This is a multi Meetup group event. 15 other groups have also been invited so be assured there will be a good turnout.

We get it, you're all cooped up at home but still want to have some fun... Grab a cocktail or your favorite snacks because we're bringing a fun social game party directly to your home!

HOW IT WORKS:
Once you sign up, you'll be given a link to join a party of other people via video on Zoom. All you need is a laptop, phone or tablet to take part in the event. You'll enjoy an evening of meeting new people, fun social interactions and games. Our friendly host will be with you live via video orchestrating the event and even making introductions among the group so you'll get to know the other people attending. It's so much fun!

THIS EVENT WILL LIKELY SELL OUT FAST AND WE HAVE LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE SO GRAB YOUR TICKET ASAP!

When you login to the event, you'll get to see all of the other participants via video on Zoom. The event host will then pair you off into smaller teams of about 6 people per group and you'll be working as a team against the other groups. You'll be playing fun games like....

Solving really cool riddles and answering trivia type questions and other questions that are similar to your favorite TV game shows!

Playing fun games like Taboo, Catchphrase and "Blank Slate" (In Blank Slate, the host will show you a word followed by a blank. For example: Chicken _________. You'll write down a word that follows the word Chicken such as "Soup". Essentially you're trying to predict what will be a popular answer. We do different fun games at each event we throw!

After the event, we'll leave the event open for about 15 minutes so you can exchange contact information with anyone else from the event. This is a great opportunity to make new friends. Typically about 65% of the attendees are singles so it's even a chance to possibly meet that special someone!

FAQ:

If I have friends or family members that don't live with me, can they be put on a team with me? Yes! We'd say about 75% of participants sign up on their own but if you have any friends or family members that want to join, they can too (simply message the host at the beginning of the event and ask to be placed on the same team as them). Each player needs to buy their own ticket. If you have a family member/s that is same household as you, they are welcome to sit next to you and you can play along with you but each device needs to purchase their own ticket.

If I attended a past event with you, can I sign up for this one? Yes, In fact we never use repeat questions and we always change up the games so feel free to sign up with as many of our upcoming events as you'd like!

How do I join the event? After you sign up on to Eventbrite we will send you a link with an invitation to join the event. We'll send you that link by the day of the event. If for some reason you don't see an email from us by the event date, make sure to check your spam folder in case it ended up there by accident.

What is the age range? All ages (Over 18) are welcome. We usually have a good mix of ages.

How many will be participating? We expect between 15 and 30 people.
