Quartsite and Rubber Tramp Rendezvous (and other events!)
Details
Quartzsite is one of those places you just have to experience — wide-open desert, endless BLM land to camp on, and a community of travelers who return year after year. Whether you come to explore the shows, enjoy the winter sun, meet other nomads, or just relax off-grid for a while, Quartzsite has a way of making you feel at home.
We'll catch events like the Rubber Tramp Rendezvous, where folks come together to share skills and swap stories, and explore the rock and gem show. Other possibilities include the Hi Jolly Parade (with camels!).
For January camping in Quartzsite, be prepared for crowded conditions. Plan for chilly nights (lows in the 30s-40s) and warm days, bringing appropriate gear; windy conditions are also common. This is dry camping, so please bring your own water, groceries, and potty supplies, and be prepared to pack out your trash.
We'll coordinate closer to the date on where we'll camp, with a possible meeting point prior to arrival (so we don't get lost in the desert!).
