Astrology is an excellent practical and useful tool for understanding ourselves, our motivations, and the universe around us. It is much more than the sun sign columns found in newspapers and magazines. Whether you are just starting to learn or are a professional astrologer, this is where everyone speaks the same language. Everyone is invited to ask questions on any level, share observations, and exchange ideas. Everyone is encouraged to participate, and if you are interested in presenting a lecture or discussion topic, please contact the organizers. We are open to considering astrology-based ideas of all kinds.

Event Description:
Locational astrology is the practice of relocating a natal chart to a different place to understand new influences and potential: better health or happiness, stronger personal energies, challenges, or even ways to balance difficulties in the natal chart.
Searching for better mental and physical health, consulting astrologer Robin Pool and her husband, Steve, decided to put locational astrology to the test, making predictions and then actually living in and visiting dozens of places over the last four years. Along the way, they've discovered twists on familiar techniques and new, unexpected considerations.
Robin's “field notes from locational astrology” will be full of personal stories about their experience: what worked the way they thought it would and what surprised them about locational astrology… and their own natal charts.
In addition to firsthand “oops” experiences working out the effects of astrocartography lines (it's not just “Jupiter” on the MC, it's your natal Jupiter!) they've also learned practical lessons about supporting their natal charts with angular planets, sensitive house cusps, adapting Hellenistic techniques, and relocating the Lots of Fortune and Spirit.
Expanding this to her work with clients, Robin has realized that locational astrology has significant potential to improve mental and physical health and success, even if you don't move to or physically visit your best locations. Her talk features a real-life, holistic look at one couple’s experience testing out locational astrology.

A suggested donation is $5 -$30 is very VERY much appreciated, but please know whatever you can afford is acceptable. Donations collected pay our rent, Meetup.com fees, and the honorarium for Robin Pool. You may bring cash to donate on the evening of the event, or you can donate online by purchasing a livestream ticket.

Recording:
If you can’t attend live, you are welcome to buy a livestream ticket to get access to the recording. The recording will be shared with all livestream ticket buyers as well as individuals who RSVP yes for the event on meetup.com. Directions:
The meetup takes place at the New York Theosophical Society, which is next door to the Quest Bookshop. You may enter through the bookshop before 7 pm (when it closes) or to the left of the bookshop after 7 pm.
