Astrology is an excellent practical and useful tool for understanding ourselves, our motivations, and the universe around us. It is much more than the sun sign columns found in newspapers and magazines. Whether you are just starting to learn or are a professional astrologer, this is where everyone speaks the same language. Everyone is invited to ask questions on any level, share observations, and exchange ideas. Everyone is encouraged to participate, and if you are interested in presenting a lecture or discussion topic, please contact the organizers. We are open to considering astrology-based ideas of all kinds.

The North and South Lunar Node, also known as Rahu and Ketu in Indian mythology and astrology, have a pronounced effect when they conjoin natal planets and angles. In this lecture, Ronnie will introduce you to her unique way of interpreting the Nodal conjunctions based on more than 40 years of reading horoscopes and observing how the Nodes intensify and transform our experience of what each planet and angle symbolizes in our chart.Ronnie will begin the lecture with a brief retelling of the myth of the Churning of the Ocean, wherein a demon steals the elixir of immortality from the Gods only to be decapitated as punishment, and forced to wander the world as a disembodied head and torso, or two opposite bodies, that crave connection.
This is followed by the heart of the lecture illustrating how the Lunar Nodes intensify and transform everything they contact in your natal chart, but are most powerful when they conjoin planets and angles.
Whatever that planet represents generically and personally is awakened and demands your attention. If it is the Sun, your confidence is tested, if it is the Moon, your emotions are laid out in front of you, and so on.
We will look at each planet and use actual chart examples of how different individuals have dealt with these conjunctions, and how they used this energy both positively and negatively. These delineations can then be applied to your own charts.
Although the South Node represents the area we often ignore, and the North Node shows us the difficult but necessary path to take, the key is to form a balance between the two energies, and how we can use Nodal power to become the best we can be.
There will be ample time for questions and answers. This exciting lecture applies to practitioners working with both tropical and sidereal zodiacs, as well as all house systems.
