The Nodes enter Taurus/Scorpio

Join us as Katie Sweetman discusses the North Node's ingression into Taurus and the South Node’s ingression into Scorpio.

On January 18th, the North and South node change from the Gemini-Sagittarius axis to the Taurus Scorpio axis. This new nodal configuration will be one of the defining astrological factors of 2022 and 2023, as we navigate COVID-19’s transition from pandemic to endemic, work to integrate past traumas, and adjust to the “new normals” of material security.

This month’s nodal shift subtly but poignantly ushers in the next chapter of an eclipse story that began with the partial lunar eclipse at 27 Taurus on November 19, 2021. This story will continue to unfold for nearly two years with the partial solar eclipse at 28 Taurus on April 30, 2022, the total lunar eclipse at 18 Scorpio on May 16, 2022, the partial solar eclipse at 2 Scorpio on October 25, 2022, the Total Lunar Eclipse at 16 Taurus on November 8, 2022, the penumbral lunar eclipse at 14 Scorpio on May 5, 2023, and the partial lunar eclipse at 5 Taurus on October 28, 2023.

How can one work wisely and constructively with the energetic invitations of the North Node’s journey through Taurus, and the South Node’s journey through Scorpio, punctuated by these eclipses? How can this serve as a guide for 2022?

This presentation will seek to elevate the conversation beyond stoking fears about certain upcoming dates, or becoming concerned about how specific eclipses might more directly stimulate similarly placed planets in in our natal charts.

During the first half of the talk, Katie Sweetman will speak broadly about how the themes of the nodal axis in Taurus/Scorpio might be experienced on a collective level, and how each of us might encounter these invitations personally. What wisdom can we draw upon in our understanding of this polarity to use as our guide?

During the second half of the talk, Danny Larkin will join Katie Sweetman for a “fireside chat” over zoom. It is natural to wonder how this shift nodal shift more precisely affects the charts of ourselves or friends, family or clients. Although, each soul has its own journey, helpful insights can be gleaned by considering the house(s) that will be stimulated by the nodes backwards journey through Taurus and Scorpio. So, this second half will consider the 12 different house pairs and transmutations of the corresponding house topics.
